Privacy notice
Updated 14 October 2026. This notice explains personal-data processing when visiting the TuftCAD website and contacting us.
1. Controller
Laszlo Kocsis
Karl-Rolle-Str. 9, 1/7

Privacy requests: contact@tuftcad.com. TuftCAD is the product brand of the sole proprietor named above.
2. Website delivery
Cloudflare Pages is planned to provide the website at tuftcad.com. Cloudflare is also used for domain and DNS services. Website requests involve IP addresses, requested resources and HTTP/connection metadata required for connection and delivery. Hosting and CDN services support reliable website delivery and security. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure, functioning website. This static website does not call the separate Workers/D1 licensing infrastructure.
3. Email beta applications and enquiries
Send applications to beta@tuftcad.com. The website link only opens a draft in your email application. You send the message yourself through your chosen provider. Opening a draft or copying the address does not send an application. This website has no form backend or applicant database.
Data may include sender address, any name you provide, optional country, tufting experience, reason for applying, message content and necessary email metadata. We use these details for individual beta selection and related communication. General enquiries are processed to answer your request. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive details or attachments.
Applications and general enquiries are handled under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with the interest in selecting suitable testers and answering incoming enquiries. Where an enquiry concerns specific precontractual steps you request or an existing contract, Article 6(1)(b) applies. You are not subscribed to a newsletter. Applying guarantees neither participation nor software access.
4. Email service provider
Business email is processed through IONOS Mail Basic 1. The beta@tuftcad.com mailbox receives applications; support@tuftcad.com, contact@tuftcad.com and billing@tuftcad.com forward to that mailbox within the business email configuration. The provider is IONOS SE. Services include receiving, storing and sending business emails and the necessary technical processing.
Provider privacy and processing information: https://www.ionos.de/datenschutzerklaerung and https://www.ionos.de/hilfe/datenschutz/allgemeine-informationen-zur-datenschutz-grundverordnung-dsgvo/vereinbarung-zur-auftragsverarbeitung-avv-mit-ionos-abschliessen/ .
5. Recipients and international processing
Cloudflare and any subprocessors actually used for the services support website delivery; IONOS and any actual subprocessors support email processing. Cloudflare’s published Customer DPA identifies Cloudflare, Inc. The specific contractual allocation follows the operator’s contract. EU-only processing is not promised.
Any transfers outside the EEA must satisfy Articles 44 onwards GDPR, such as an applicable adequacy decision or suitable safeguards including SCCs. Cloudflare’s published contract and transfer information is at https://www.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa/ . You can request information about recipients and safeguards relevant to your data at contact@tuftcad.com.
6. Retention and deletion
We delete personal data in unsuccessful beta applications within 90 days after notifying the applicant of the final selection decision. For selected testers, we retain only the personal data necessary during their beta participation and delete personal data no longer needed within 90 days after that participation ends. Data that is no longer needed may be deleted earlier. Completed beta correspondence follows these limits; other enquiries are retained only as long as necessary to answer and resolve them. Applicable statutory retention obligations or necessary establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims may require retaining specific records longer; retained records are limited to that purpose and deleted when the exception ends. These periods concern our beta records, not an asserted deletion schedule for provider logs or backups. Separate licensing records are not created by this email link.
7. Cookies and external content
Our page code sets no cookies, uses no local or session storage and includes no analytics or advertising pixels, external fonts or videos. Images, CSS and JavaScript load from the website host. Language selection uses a URL parameter. The copy action writes the displayed public email address to the clipboard only after your click; it does not read clipboard content. Technically necessary hosting/security operations must be distinguished from optional processing. Device storage and access are subject to section 25 TDDDG and its exceptions.
8. Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Any consent can be withdrawn prospectively. You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred. For private businesses in Bavaria, the Bavarian data protection authority is a contact point: https://www.lda.bayern.de/ . Send privacy requests to contact@tuftcad.com.
